For the record... 1) 1oz shot of 80 proof liquor (smirnoff vodka for aexample) = 1 glass of wine = 1) 12oz beer. So 14 drinks with 1 oz of vodka is equal to drinking 14 beers. If this person drank 14 Smirnoff Ice malt beverages, then that was a waste of $$.

Are you talking about the malt liquor beverages (like Ice)? If so, the alcohol content is about that of beer, or about 5% by volume. However, if he drank 14 of them (or just over a 12 pack) he could have gotten a pretty serious buzz, especially if he drank them on an empty stomach and quickly.

14 Smirnoffs? Damn... they aren't even that GOOD!
I'd have just bought a bottle of the real stuff... it would have been cheaper and made better tasting drinks!
As far as getting drunk... it all depends on the individual. I have a friend who gets tipsy from HALF a wine cooler and others that can down a fifth of tequila and hardly feel it.
