I have a date with this friend of a friend soon and I don't know what to wear? My main concern actually is shoes, I'm 5'7" he's 5'11", I don't want to wear heels cuz then I might be taller than him, but I don't want to flats because I don't have any right now. Would sneakers be to informal? Please help me, I don't know

Unless they are some really trendy sneakers.. they are too informal! (your not going ot the gym!). I'd go for the heels... if there is a 4" difference, I don't think you'll be taller then him... but even if you are, who cares!

It depends on where you are going, if you are going somewhere formal than wear the heels, if not then put on your sneakers, but make sure they are nice and clean, and matches with you outfit.
I don't think that wearing heels would make a 5'7" person look taller than someone who is 5'11".

I wouldn't do the whole sneakers thing..do you have any boots? It's winter so that would be very proper to wear. Payless has really cute ones right now if you don't want to spend a lot of money!! Good luck..I'm sure you guys will do fine, regardless of your shoes!

If you have boots laying around u can pair them with a skirt or tuck some skinny jeans into them with a cute camisol or a nice top. but if ur just going to the movies then u can wear sneakers and jeans if u want. i mean u dont need to dress up too classy.

if you are just going to a movie or something, then yes sneakers would be fine. but if you are going like out to eat somewhere other than burger king... chances are, you might want to consider getting some shoes.

Depends on where your going, If it is somewhere casual you'll be fine. Just be comfortable and don't worry so much about that.
Also from a guys perspective: He will see what shoes you wear but trust me, he won't care.

I think flats is the best way to go...I know you don't have any right now but they are easy to find everywhere even Target and they don't cost much....just run out and grab a cute pair....

that all depends on where you're going and what else you're wearing. i don't think he'd mind if you're a little taller or the same height.
