I'm sorry if I do not make sense or something -- I do not know much about war and stuff.

Why does Bush want to "win" so badly? What makes winning so important to him, other than having bragging rights or something?

when the insurgents attack no more it would mean that the us has won

if you look at the french in algeria
the british in northern ireland
the americans in vietnam
the russians in chechnia

- you will see that it will not be won

You want your team to win right? Ha Ha . My guess is that Bush will draw out the occupation of Iraq until just before the elections and claim victory but the civil war will return but will be covered up by the new Iran war or the elections.

Bascially, if we lose the whole region will become so unstable it will cause World War III and many more will die.

to have a govt that can protect, defend, and govern itself without outside help and is an ally in the war on terror we have won!
