Does anyone know how long a plane ride from Rochester NY to Seattle Washington is? Are there any good websites that would calculate this?

If you can get a direct flight, 5 hours 16 minutes depending on winds, aircraft type, weight, etc. It's 2,160 statute miles. You can get any flight time or distance estimates at: http://www.jets.com/

You are looking at approximately 6 hours from the East Coast to Seattle WA. From Rochester I see it will take 5 hours 25 minutes and a 50 minute layover in Buffalo. In all just over 6 hours and 15 minutes.

The site I used is: http://www.SideStep.Com Plug in the from and to and pick a date and you can look at the results. Pick one and then caluclate the times.

Definitely. First, the airline's website should tell you their estimate of total travel time for the entire trip including any change of planes. My quess - allowing 90 minutes for a change of planes in Chicago - about 8.5 hours, as follows:

1 hour for checkin plus security in Rochester.
2 yours flight to Chicago O'Hare Airport
1.5 hours on the ground at O'Hare
4 hours flight to Seattle-Tacoma Airport

The airline may tell you a shorter time, but flying into and out of Chicago O'Hare is full of troubles. Just take food with you and be patient.
