Yes. I use a product called "Angel Eyes". You put it on their food so you don't have to mess with their eyes. It works and it starts working quickly. I have two Maltese and it works on both of them.

The first time you purchase it, it is expensive ($25.00 per bottle) because you use it every day. AFTER their eyes are cleaned up, you don't have to use it as often to maintain.

You can buy it at any pet store.

I have a white Maltize and he has really bad tear stains. We got him from the SPCA and the people who had him before didn't take very good care of him. We bought some shampoo for dogs that is a whitening shampoo and I use it on him everytime I give him a bath. It lightens the stains every time I use it. It's good stuff. I dont know what its called but it is dark blue shampoo in a clear bottle.

I have a pug so I don't have any experience, but I have seen this stuff at Petco. Have you tried this sort of thing?

We use unscented baby wipes to clean our pug's face and ears. Perhaps that would work on tear stains as well. I don't know.

Good luck.
