I like to know why many times I find older men seem to get very rude, sacastic and seem to always want to pick fights? I am not a lesbian and I feel do nothing to "instagate" this kind of behavior from males.
I actually had men blowing up in my face and had their fingers in my face, what is the deal with this crap ?

I'm not saying a spouse, but anyone in general; a neighbor, co-worker, a customer you are helping at work.

I can't stand this non-sense.. Is there a logical explanation for this behavior?

Thank you ladies...

I was curious to see if there are any men who can give any logical thoughts to my question of why men behave this way ?

Sorry Randy, but it really makes no sense as to why some men have to pick fights with a women who are simply doing a job...

Yes some women blow up, but its mostly men who are picking fights with women..

Forever : Good point, yes I do check my attitude and follow what is of expected in a policy of an employer...
My question generally is asking is there a reason why this anger has to escalate to this Type "A" behavior ?

There are various reasons for it. Many have been taught that women should be subjective (and just because as a society we don't believe that anymore doesn't mean a father stops teaching it to their son, many are still being taught that).

But I would point out that men by design want to establish themselves as alpha males. Whether you believe in evolution (we inherited this trait from chimps) or you believe in creation (God made men in that way), men are designed to try to make it to the top. They will do it in any number of ways, but the general way most guys like is direct one-on-one arguments to establish dominance. Women are as a rule more adept at cooperation. So while you are trying to get an idea across you believe in for the good of the company (or group I guess would be a better word), he is seeing any plan other than his own as a personal challenge to his chance to become the alpha male.

Which if my theory is true (I'm going with accepted theories but not completely proven theories on this idea), then there is no way to stop them from coming at you like that. Its not specifically an attempt on their part to make you feel stupid or worthless, but rather how men work things out. Which means essentially if you want to get your side heard, you may have to respond in kind. Not outright defiance or attack, but be ready to stand your ground when you want your idea implemented.

Along with what jesito_sascec states, I'd like to add that today many men are and were not taught how to treat woman by their male role models. A father even models to sons in the way they treat their daughters in front of their sons.

This is trouble:

Battle ax ...
Panty waste
Cry me a river...when a female speaks
That's all in your head
You're crazy like your mother
Women have no brains they ......emotions.
Shut up you don't know what you're talking about.
Also their actions...drinking, throwing fits when things need to be done, etc

You can bet these fellows become husbands, fathers, co-workers, and neighbors etc. The minute a female speaks they will go into the conquer mode. Using religion as an exuse is a bit suggestive as true believers are spiritually mature...they know a man can build his castle up or tare it down with his bare hands per say. Behaving like a man takes a lot more man than some think. These wise fellas know when the manly behavior begins for some reason they get a two-fold return I think it's called a leader, headship, etc.

Calmly reply to them and set your boundaries if you are not instigating the situation.

Wow, that is the some of the worst behavior I've heard about a grown man. With me, DNA makes my voice soft and gentle, so it used to make SOME people think I was a pushover and that they could treat me any way they pleased. You may unconsciously be exuding a meeker disposition than you have. I let the one boss who got in my face, raising his voice and sticking his pointed finger in my face get away with it for 5 mins while I walked away to calm down. When I was calm, I went back into his office, looked directly into his eyes and said, "That was the last time you raise your voice at me." I walked away, shaking, but he became so nervous thinking that I had spoken to HR that it WAS his last time. Also, I said it so calmly that he didn't seem to want to find out how serious I was. Next time it happens, make sure you do NOT use words like "please" or "could you." Just say, "Take your fingers out of my face", "You need to calm down" or, "Do not raise your voice at me" always w/ a straight face. It's kinda scary at first, but they will come to treat you with respect, you'll see.

Have you checked your attitude? Maybe it's the way you come across?? sometimes we have to look at ourselves....especially if this happens frequently....usually men treat me very well..of course, I expect that. So, do a bit of soul searching, ok?

The only other answer if that you're smart & sexy & men don't know how to handle it except to either come on to you or feel rejected by you. Men really are simple - it's us women who complicate things.

Same reason that (some) women feel a need to intimidate men. They probably feel like they have something to prove.

They are insecure, pathetic little creatures and they get a power trip by being nasty to people, especially women.
