i am a female of slim built but i have broad feet...its irritating because they are of size 4 but because of their broadness i have to wear a size 6and sometimes 7 which looks weird considering i am very short.... does anyone know if anything can be done to correct them

There's nothing wrong with your feet - don't mess with them or you might damage the bones, cartilage, ligaments, etc.

www.zappos.com has a good range of shoes in wide widths. Clarks, Dansko, New Balance, Teva are good brands that work well w/ wide feet.

I have the same problem only I wear a size 8 at age 20 and height 5'2''. Just by shoes that fit which means going up a size or two so that the shoe does not fit too tightly on the sides of your feet.

Get shoes in wide sizes when you can. I have broad feet too, so I do this. You might still have to go up a size or so, sorry :-( but try and get shoes that come in sizes designed for broad feet. Good luck!

It depends on how old you are, but I know that when I was 11-13 my feet were wide but as well, i was short and slim. It went away by itself when they grew. So possibly they will grow out and become regular...If not, just wear shoes that flatter your feet.
