Ahh I'm getting fustrated.. I'm a pretty good looking guy (or so Im told) but every one seems to be taken, and i never seem to be able to say the right thing. Help, advice? Im 17 male, athletic build, preppy... so fustrated.

Girlfriend=status symbol. Stop with that thinking immediately. Once you get to my age 25, then it is almost better to be single.
If you are looking for some one to date you have to get outside your normal group of people you hang out with. Of course they are all taken.
Also, saying the right thing is truly overrated. One question.
"Do you want to catch a movie sometime?" All you need to say. Substitute movie for coffee, dinner, etc. thats it dude.

the fact that your putting pressure on your self to get a girl friend is stopping you from getting one.
relax.. your 17 , you'll get there look outside the box, you'll find someone, the only reason you say things wrong is because your nervous. If you are sweet and nice and not a jerk any girl will see past everything they wont care if your a athlete, preppy they'll like you for you.

TRUST ME - everyone is NOT taken.
Perhaps everyone who you think is "hot" is taken - set your sights a bit lower. You will find in the long run that the not-so-gorgeous girls will be more affectionate and faithful than their "I can have ANY guy I want, ANY time I want" classmates.
Sometimes all it takes for a girl to turn from an "ugly duckling" into a gorgeous swan is the confidence that comes from dating a nice guy who sees her INNER beauty, and knows what a treasure he's found, rather than some thinly-coated glamour-girl who doesn't care about anyone but herself.

You're only 17. Don't worry about dating. Dating is over rated and trust me, sex isn't worth it. You're 17!!!!! You have the rest of your life in front of you. Don't sweat it. When its your turn to take out so anorexicly thin girl it'll be your turn.
