He's screwing you around. Check the better business bureau for other complaints ( hopefully you did this beforehand too) Threaten him with a lawsuit if he doesn't deliver within a specific period of time, and then follow through. Even though your ticked off, try and be as courteous as possible. The process shouldn't take that long, you have every right to be mad.

It's been six months since your wedding, but he's really only had about four months to work (September-December, plus a few days on either end). This is going to depend on what quality of video editing you paid for. I got my video pretty quick, but it was a single camera on a tripod with no editing (it was a very small outdoor wedding). If he's mixing pictures, music, more than one camera, etc, this is going to take some time. Esspecially if he's any good, because he's also going to have other weddings to go to and other videos to edit as well.

Just ask him honestly how much longer he expects it to take, and hang tight, it'll be worth the wait. If you think he's being dishonest with you, communicate only by letter, keep copies of all correspondence, and ask for a firm deadline in case you have to go to court in the future, but I think that it's unlikely based on what information that you gave.

He's had more than enough time to get your wedding video to you. Personally I think he is jerking you around. Call him or go to his office and ask to see EXACTLY what he has gotten done and what is left to be done. I think you are probably being too nice. If he is just putting picture and music onto a tape/DVD, it shouldn't take him more than a few days at most. Maybe it is time to get your husband involved. If you have a contract, you might want to check and see if there was any agreement on how long he has to deliver the product to you. Yes, you certainly DO have a right to be upset!

I say review your contract, see what is specified in there. If he stated he would have it to you by a certain date, and didnt, he broke the contract. You should be entitled to the money back and the finished product. If he has damaged your photos or hasnt completed it or wont refund your money i say go to small claims court.

It doesnt take that long unless you want a super elaborate thing, but even then it takes under 5 weeks.

call him, find out what is the hold up and give him a deadline to either finish the work, or refund your money and pictures. If he doesnt come through- then it is time to pursue this matter further.

depends on how long your video was and how much work u asked for it to be put in. like editing music and effects but with out all that on average 4 to 5 weeks maximum?? id say some thing is wrong.

i think some of these answers are very pompous. When i was in the military putting my life on the line for you and this country i went more than a year without. Right now there are hundreds and thousands of men and women over seas going without every day. Knowing that there country and there loved ones wait for them at home. So i think the only answer is yes for your freedom, the answer is yes and every damn bit of the real men can.

i think you should ask him back the pics, cuz it only need a week to get done one video, and the fast only take 2 or 3 days, he may already mess up your pics

I've heard of this happening, but if it was me, I'd have a frank chat with him. Ask him if something is wrong, tell him you'll understand and work with him, but that it will be easier to do so if he's honest with you.
