ok i have this guy i like him alot but as a friend only but if i continue the relationship then im gonna break his heart how can i break up with him and let him down easy

Well, I read the other 19 answers that have been given. Some are good,some bad,same say the same thing. I guess how well do you really know this guy(friend)? First thing, no break up or pity sex, that really sucks. I would go to some place that you both like, restaurant, quite little bar etc... Then, I would tell him the truth, no B.S stories, let him know how your heart is. He will still be probably hurt, but being honest and show him that you still care always shines through. He might need some space after wards, you might need time as well. If your friendship is meant to be, it will. Good Luck.

First of all, do not do it over the phone, IM, a letter, email, through a friend... I know it's really hard, but you have to do it in person.
Sit down with him somewhere private (not at school or anything - his house would be good so he can ask you to leave if he wants, don't invite him over so he's stuck on your turf), and very gently tell him he's such a great person, and unfortunately you just don't feel THAT way about him. You would love to be just friends, though, because he's such an amazing person and everything. Let him know you're really sorry, and wish you didn't have to hurt him this way, but you wanted him to know the truth.

You cant let a guy down easy there just isnt a way.
You have to striaght out tell him that You and him just need to be friends and you dont really think of you and him as a relationship type. You know in your heart what to say.

Open up to him when the time is right. Tell him that you like him as a friend and that you don't want to hurt his feelings but it's time to let go of the relationship because you feel that he likes you more than you like him.

Just be open & honest & tell him you don't feel the same way about him. And that it feels only right not to string him along when Mrs> Right is out there for him. Tell him you will always be his friend though & be there for him.

Just be straight with him. Tell him how much you enjoy being with him and how much you like him, but only as a friend. Let him know that you do not see yourself being involved with him romantically.
