For some reason, my CD ROM drivers are no longer on my computer. I have the drivers on a CD, but I can't download them because my drivers don't work!

Is there a website that I can download some CD ROM drivers or DVD Drivers from? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

CD and DVD-ROM drivers are built into Windows, If your CD or DVD drive isn't reading disks or not showing up as a lettered drive then the drive itself has failed.

Establish the make and model of your cd rom and your computer. Go to googe and enter [make and model of computer] will not recognise [make and model of dic drive] Note the reponses to this. I suspect you will find a modification to your registry and a small piece of software you may need to download. Try the registry modification first. That worked for me first time. On another laptop I had to download the software.
