Yes, it happens everyday. That's what everyone is talking about when you hear about identity theft. It can happen to anyone. You need to check your credit on a regular basis.

I work with credit and see this fraud everyday. Then a few months ago, I decided to buy a house. My credit was pulled and I had some fraudulent accounts on my credit. I am still trying to get this stuff off of my credit. It takes some people years to clear this kind of thing up. So, be careful and guard your identity.

Yes people can commit fraud and go after your identity, but you shouldn't sit around and worry about it.

It can happen to anyone, and there's not much we can do except practice caution when sharing our social security number.

Also, get a free credit report every year to keep track of all your accounts and make sure no one is using it illegally.

Often times people find fraudulent things on their credit report without ever realizing it months or years before.

Yes they can make sure you report it to identity theft. Please do not carry your social security card around with you I made that mistake and my wallet was stolen.
