Train the terrier first on you. When it jumps on you, quickly use your leg or knee to flip him over on his back, step forward towards the dog, and in a stern voice say, "NO!" It works. I trained my great dane that way when it was a puppy because I was afraid it would knock me down if it jumped on me when it grew up.

Have your visitors wear pants made out of Duct Tape (sticky side out) when your Boston jumps up the tape will feel weird on it's paws and it will soon stop.

Practice having him learn sit, and have a neighbor or someone come over, and when they do if your dog starts to jump have them turn away from him and ignore him/her.
