I am very attractive single mom. I put my profile with pictures in a dating website by no one contacts me. why ? guys are you all out there looking for single unmarried females ? are guys not intrested in single moms since we come with a baggage. I'm looking for a quality guy I'm so unhappy without a lover. how should I handle this how long should I wait : (

If I were single, I would consider dating a single mom. I think some guys would be afraid of the baggage. How old are you and what guys are you intersted in? Do you think there would be any other reasons why a guy would not want to date you?

If the dating website isn't working....look at your profile and see if you're sounding too needy or something. What you say in your profile can also be what will turn a guy on or off.

Yeah, some guys are dorks and are looking for a fling, but I'll bet most guys on the site are looking for someone to be with long term.

First of all, I think you should deal with why you desperately need a man in your life. It's not healthy to feel like you need another half to feel complete. Also, web-dating isn't the best and certainly not the only option. Look for divorce or single-parent support groups. Get a group of single-parents together for movies or bowling etc. once a month. Take an art class, dance class, anything. You tend to find people when you're not looking. I never used to believe that, but it has been true almost every time. Plus, you'll meet men who are interested in the things you are. That's a plus right from the start.

I don't think it has anything to do with being a single mom , I am also a single parent and I have dated women with kids before . Of course you will not have the guys that are out for only one thing contacting you , but hopefully you are not looking for that . maybe your profile needs somehow changed . I also have been looking for someone to date and I state in the profile that I am open to women with children , I think a single mom is sexy cause it shows that she is mature enough to take care of her kids and at the same time still wants to be a woman and feel like a woman .

Well, I have a suggestion, I think you are acting a little desperate. In my experience, when I am not looking is when I always find! But I respect you really putting yourself out there, that is something I could not have done!! And it will take a lot of patience. And some of the time, the guy you really want might be right under your nose. Possibly even in a relationship. Just hang in there and I know you will find!! Kids are not a hinder to all males!!

Yes some guys dont want the baggage, try rewriting your information on the site.
Also put up profiles on more than one site.
Also put up pictures, ones that attract the kind of person you want to date.

For me it took a few dates before I found somene I stayed with.

I think alot of it depends on age I'm only 23 years old and I can tell you firsthand that I'm not looking for a woman with kids at all, I'm still young and doing what I want to do when I want to do it, and Having a girlfriend with a child is something I'm don't have the desire to experience . I think that when you're a little older with kids it becomes easier to find a man that may have kids of his own or is more accepting of them. But it is really hard to find a single man with no kids of his own who would want to become involved with a woman with children. I don't mean to be pessimistic but im just speaking from how I feel and what friends of mine have discussed with me when talking about women. But you never know keep your head up you might find someone who will completely fall for you and your child. Good Luck

Many men have difficulty with dealing others children, and being in a relationship where they don't come first. Lots of men are just children, themselves.

You need to look for a mature man with children of his own - and these guys don't use dating websites!

Children can be the best matchmakers, so be sure to go to all of your kids activities. There are bound to be some single dads there.

This is way women have to be choosy about who they sleep with. Some guy got you pregnant and left. Stop worrying about dating and concentrate on your child by putting them in dance and music classes to acquire a skill. After your child is in his/her teens and you don't have to drop them off at a babysitters so you can go out, find a nice guy with kids and start a relationship. Don't expect a single guy with no children to want a serious relationship with you. Any single guy with no kids and has good sense would want to start his own family, not join another man's family.
