Three idiot thumbs down, thanks. Actually the story is about a tatoo system for branding livestock. It is readable with a scanner and is just a set of dots in the skin. Unique ID and they intend to use it for marking soldiers.

I'm guessing its about the microchip, but I don't go to odd sites so not really sure. Personally, I do think the mark will be microchips, its the only thing that makes sense. With it, you can do all your banking, shopping, etc., helpful in terms of locating terrorists hiding out in the US, or other non-terrorist funded countries, wouldn't have to carry around that pesky drivers license or social security card anymore. It even makes sense that it would be on the hand or forehead, I live in frozen hell, so half of the year we're covered head to toe in snowgear, it would be very inconvenient to have to take our jackets off to use our handy little chip to check out at the grocery store. So, you see, the microchip will be very logical, like we all knew it would be.

A cow isn't much of a beast. I don't see what problem you have with them being marked, though.

well... my dog has one of those... he must be a marked beasty, eh? I've also encouraged my adult children to have me microchipped/tattooed, so that when I'm demented and wander off, they can find me.
