I went on a 1st date at the end of the date he hugged me with both his hands behind my lower back. ( I usually put my hands near the upper back when I hug) did he mean something ?

how old are you hun? Usually when a man puts both hands on your lower back for a hug he expects a kiss to go with it. I think he likes you and was testing the waters with that hug.

Its an better hug than if he put his arms around your shoulders- thats FRIENDLY, if its in the middle area- NEUTRAL, if it's the lower back its more ROMANTIC, be it sexual or b/f g/f like... So no kiss? Bummer... That could mean he wasn't quite into you or he didn't think it was time, he was nervous or is the type to enjoy women making the moves...

It sounds like just a nice hug. He may just hug different than you. It sounds like the date must have gone well in his opinion.
