My health teacher said that people smoke tea and bannana peals, does it even get you high?

health teacher said that people do it to look like there smoking weed but does it even get you high/

Ha! Never heard about tea, but in the 60s, people believed there was a small degree of an opiate in the 'strings' between the peal and the fruit - never tried it myself, so I can't verify it...
supposedly exemplified in the Donovan song "Mellow Yellow" - yellow being the banana!!!
