She asked me to do so. I thought and thought and thought and then I decided to slaughter God. AND I slaughtered her.

Back then,it was no different from war.The only difference is that they didn't have the proper channels (eg the UN) to go through. As well as that,if you are talking about morals, the Amalekites weren't an innocent group needlessly slaughtered by God.They had a habit of constantly having battles and bothering the Israelites, taking the Israelites for slaves, bloodthirsty murder,- and they were child - and human- sacrificers.War was acceptable in those circumstances, and this question serves to point out how important it is to read the BIble without being ethno-centric.Things were very different back then.

Since it is impossible for me to travel back to a position of the Children of Israel it is very difficult for me to answer in an intelligent manner.
I will say however that it seems that if the Children of Israel had destroyed all the enemies of GOD as they were instructed they would not be facing the problems they are to-day.
However I will not sit in judgment of something that happened 4 or so thousand years ago.

I'm a woman so He probably won't ask me to fight and kill the enemy. But if He did, I would. I would do as God commands. Of course I have to know that it's truly God commanding it and not a John Doe next door. God hasn't talked to humans for a long time like He did thousands of years ago. After Jesus came and promised to come again, there is no need for God to talk to us in person like that again. Jesus told us all what to do. Love God above all things and love thy neighbor.

God is culturally relevant. As a Christian that is what I have to say.

I have a thesis paper on the Theological Justification of the Israelite Conquest if you are interested IM me.

God wouldn't ask his servant to kill people now; Jesus died for their sin and God's judgement was fulfilled. Now all we have to do is accept it and be grateful for it.

If he asked me way back when I don't know what I'd do, good thing God created me only for this time on Earth to serve a purpose already ordained by him..

Christian God doesn't ask that anybody is slaughtered.

He is more into bringing hell to earth with the 4 horse men.

As for slaughtering other people of different beliefs you need to ask the Jews and Muslims that question.
