You need to see the Orth/Dr. get a quote for the cost of the braces and the dr. should be able to help you figure how much insurance will pay. OR some insurance pay up to a certain amount..depends on your insurance company also.

It depends on your insurance company and whether you have have orthodontic coverage.

If you have ortho coverage, most companies pay half, UP TO a certain amount. Most cases that I see pay between $750-1500. I have seen one that pays up to $2500, but that's extremely rare.

Your ortho office may have that info already (if they have patient with the same insurance as yours) or you can call call your insurance company and ask what ortho benefits they will pay.

we have metlife dental insurance and some1 in the fam. is getting braces. it is around 5000 $ but insurance pays 4 $1500 of it.
