My friend had a car accident on I-95, the other guy got the ticket, and my friend has whiplash. How hard is it to get anything out of the other driver who cause the accident. Should she get a car accident lawyer to represent her, or just see what the insurance company offers them? And who would a good car accident lawyer be, in South Florida?

Definetly get a lawyer, they will make sure you recover the most money possible. Almost all car accident lawyers and personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee, so they get a percentage of the damages paid by the insurance.

Wow, only care about money much? Your friend is probably the same person who would sue mcdonalds for making them overweight. Way to take a negative situation and try to turn it around for your personal gain. Unless your friend is permenantly injured.. she should plan on getting little to nothing for whiplash- lawyer or not. lawyers dont change the value of a injury... extent of injury does. Just remember, what goes around comes around....

Oh, btw.. in Florida your own insurance is primary in injuries.. so expect to get even less and expect to have to file a claim under her policy.

You do not have to have an attorney to settle a claim with the insurance company. That's obviously your choice. And you can't spit in Florida without hitting an attorney, so try that.
