Hi there...perhaps your cat may have feline acne which is common for cats who eat out of plastic bowls that harbour bacteria and rub aginst their chins. Consider replacing the bowls with stainless or glass bowls and then a veterinarian can prescribe chlorhexidine antibacterial scrub to help heal the scabs on the chin. Hydrodgen peroxide causes scarring if the wounds are infected as it will bubble and force more bacteria deeper into the wound.

My cat Tiger had something similar... i took him to the vet and he said it's feline acne. You just clean the area for about the next week with an antiseptic soap, or iodine, and then just every once in a while so that it doesn't come back.

It is most likely a soar from scratching. Try putting neosporin on the affected area, or a hot spot treatment that can be purchased at your local animal supply store.

BE CAREFUL! I had a pro tell me that Hydrogen Peroxide will kill my cat, but to use neosporin instead. So please ask a vet before using any medicine on your furry friend. Thanks!

The easiest way to get rid of it is daubing the area several times a day with Hydrogen Peroxide.
