First of all I can appricate faith, so if that was going to be your answer, please rethink it. Really faith can't be the right answer, so many people have 100% faith in a million different things. Read this real quick, it's simply a long list of religions, see if you can find yours!

The purpose is to show you that as a human race it's becoming abundantly clear that we have absolutely no clue. I mean we can't even agree if there is a God, if we evolved, how the universe began, if the universe is infinite, if there even was a beginning.

This a fair statement: "The human race has no clue when it comes to the mysteries of life."

So with so much of both uncertainty, and certainty how can you be sure you're right, there's at least 5 billion people who believe in something different than you. Chances are you're wrong. What do I believe, unimportant, but i know I'm either wrong or fluked out. So I can safely say I have no f'in clue!

There IS no "right" religion. The sooner everyone realizes that, the better off everyone will be. There will be less hate, less war, and less murder.

Blessed be.

I know this is going to sound a little rhetorical, but if you want answers, you truly have to search for them. I was an agnostic for many years who put forth a good deal of time to find what I can say with 99% reasonable accuracy to be true. (The 1% pertains to questions that we cannot possibly find the answer to until we are face to face with God.)

My search took over 4 years to figure out what made the most sense. And while I honestly didn't overexhaust myself in my search, it was by God's grace alone that I found the answer in Jesus Christ.

While I could say, go through every religion in the world, you could take decades to accomplish those feats. To search, take a serious look through the pages of history of the major world religions. Study the history, find out the inaccuracies and documented stories of the people who lived in them. Read through the texts and ask God to help you find the answer. (If you are an atheist, this method will probably not help as much.)

You will not find another book in history with accurately depicted prophecies, a clear, historical document by 20+ different authors over a period of 3500 years with such striking balance that there can be no other answer. While the skeptics are out there, they try to discount the entire bible because a single word is wrong or a single line is wrong. Even if you had all the skeptics in the world combine for what they feel is wrong in the bible, you still have a living document that is 98% accurate (in any scholars eyes).

The resurrection of Jesus was witnessed by more then 500 people. And saving you time on your search through the other religions, if you can honestly figure out a way to totally disprove the facts of the resurrection, and all the non-biblical works (the Koran, the works of Josephus, and others), one cannot simply discount away Jesus's existence.

I'll also admit that Christinity is not easy. It doesn't solve all your problems. What it does give you though is beyond words, and the experience of a lifetime to go with it. If you search for the answer with a willing and open heart and mind, you will find God.

"I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.", The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD." - Lam 3:24-26

Ah, but that is the very definition of faith! Belief that something is true that cannot be proven as true.
You are correct... none of what any of us believe can possible be proven over the beliefs of another, and none of us can be certain that what we believe is the ultimate truth. But what I DO know is what is right for ME. And in the end, that is all I need to know. If I'm wrong? What will I have lost? Absolutely nothing. If I am right, what will I have gained? Live in perfection forever. Sounds like a plan to me! :)

Girl wonder likes music, so I will quote Rush. "If you chose not to decide you still have made a choice."

Science is the only viable answer to your question. Since many religions have mystical elements, if not being entirely based in the mystical, they make claims about certain experiences, and sometimes physiological correlates of said experiences, that can be evaluated scientifically. This is going on now in the field of Consciousness Studies. Perhaps what is useful in religion can be brought into science, and the rest can be shown (as much as pssible) false.

I believe or know there is a God because i have experienced him in my life. For all i know God may not even look at The religion at all but at the persons Heart. I do not like people mis-using Faith to do wrong things. Mankind is to blame for this -Not GOD. If we know good from evil why not try to do good as best as we can instead of downgrading each other?

What makes you think that simply because there is no universal agreement on religion, that this shows that we must be wrong?

Perhaps the many different styles of religious belief simply means that it is right to have differing styles? Perhaps different people simply make connections to something beyond in their own ways. Perhaps that's the reason for many faiths.

I agree with you, what we believe does not affect the truth, but you can know the truth, and the truth will set you free. Anything that binds or imprisons is not the truth. Find freedom and you have found truth.

There will only be a small amount of people (a remnant) that find truth in this life. We are not here to find truth, we already know that (that we are God's children), we are here to find falseness. Enjoy the ride, it is for your education and pleasure.

Faith is forcing your mind to believe what your intellect would normally reject, otherwise there is no need for faith. Now my intellect tells me there is no way I can be sure. Not 100%.

I have to say, we do have a few clues though, many do not require 'faith' either.

I can know from how my life changed. I know the love and mercy of the one true God. I know joy in the fact of the salvation of my eternal soul thru His Son, Jesus.

Can the deceiver (satan) duplicate some or all of these feelings in his many false gods? Yes. He can and does.

How do *I* know that *my* feelings and beliefs are "right"? Good question. After the life changing experiences, I have to rely upon the fact that I'm led to do "good" works instead of "bad".
