Issue: An unmarried college student, living at home, and covered on her parent's health policy as a dependent is pregnant. The newborn will be her dependent, not her parent's so she will need insurance on the child only. Are stand alone policies available for children?

All health insurers cover children, although most will state they have to be at least 30 days old first. Contact the mother's state's insurance commissioner's office and ask for a list of insurers issuing individual policies there.

Another possibility is the state's Children's Health Insurance plan (this is not the same as Medical Assistance or Medicaid). All states have this federal program. Contact the Dept. of Social Services in the county where the mother resides.

Probably a state-funded plan like Medicaid or in NY, they have Child Health Plus - which is only for kids.

At - INSUREDEAL.information- you may get rates in very couple of minutes RE Can my mothers and fathers insure my vehicle without me on the coverage coverage? ok, there's a touch to the tale. i want my mom to signal my vehicle (it truly is in her call as we communicate) over to me. She stated that she might want to. The DMV human beings stated that to modify the vehicle over into my call, I even ought to herald my I.D. and evidence of coverage. i'm questioning in the experience that they are going to swap the vehicle into my call without me being listed on my mom's coverage (the ins. vehicle has her call on it.) Will the individuals on the DMV swap the vehicle into my call, or do I even must have my own coverage, or be positioned on her coverage?
