Is messaging him over myspace a good way to tell him? If not what are other ways? Please keep in mind that Most of my friends are his and that he is my friend too.(meaning I don't want them to know!)

Definitely NOT Myspace! That place is soooooo impersonal, for something of that value. Have you perhaps thought about talking to him in person: like going to the park and telling him your true feelings? I bet he would appreciate seeing you and not some typed up message. Also when you talk to him you could say not to mention it to his friends because it is awkward for you...and if he is your friend he should respect your wishes.

If you tell him won't the friends find out anyway? Like, you'd be dating; they could figure it you. Why not just talk to him? Leave the computer out of it and speak to him.

There's nothing better than you tell him to his face. That way you can see his reactions and act upon them.
