He's totally gorgeous and totally popular and I'm... well, not totally popular.

High School Drama is so... blah...

That will not get you much affirmation.

I can't stand all the people who spout off crap like:

"If its meant to be, its meant to be" -Not Brilliant
"Be yourself" - Whoa ho, if that worked then we wouldn't be having this talk!

Essentially, you made your own point here. High school drama is bad. You said he is good looking and popular which possibly means he is an a$$hole. You said you were not popular, but you didn't say you were a horrible looking land whale. I don't see why popularity has much to do with it. If you are attractive, then he may be more drawn to you because he wouldn't have to hang out with all the same people all the time. You would be his out.

I don't see why you wouldn't give it a shot. Look at it this way, if you try and he shoots you down, you will go to college farther away from home, start fresh there. You don't have to live anything down forever. Keep in mind that you don't care about the people who would be assholes. Give it a shot.

Popular is very over rated . Only in high school does it matter at all. The smart and brave ones ignore all that crap and date, befriend, or hang out with you THEY choose not what is considered acceptable by some faceless opinion committee. Think about it -if you like him let him know-He might really like you but because of the "popular stigma garbage" he may need some real evidence that you like him . Give him some!!!!

Just be yourself -even the biggest slaves to that nonsense respect those who don't give a rip about the opinions of others.

These people become leaders and are free when they disregard this bunch of opinion idiots -GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yah having a crush on someone who you thinks out of your league really suck. i know all about that. But you've got to stop putting your self on such a low level, if you really like him, let him no, and if hes not too caught up in these popular ways than maybe he'll like you back for who you are on the inside, and not that your less popular than him. And if he doesnt feel the same way then hes obviously not a nice person, depending on how he reacts, then you'll know for sure who he really is, and who'd want to be with a guy who thinks hes better than everyone else?

Hey dont tell youself that! Every girl has a chance with a guy they really like! Try talking to him, it will get you noticed by him and soon hopefully you'll be friends if you think its right tell him how much you really like him. Keep your head up be positive and being negative around him wont get you to noticed. Good luck!

you know what? Learn to tell yourself, "I am enough!" If you are confident in yourself and who you are...he just may be attracted to you.
