Ever since I was 10 years old (I'm 30 now) I have drank hot tea religiously and coffee occasionally. The tea has naturally made my teeth a more yellow-brownish shade, but just a few years ago I started getting these really dark brownish black stains between my teeth and close to the gumline and in the dips in my molars. I visit the dentist every 6 months and they always manage to scrape away this black stain, but they just blame the tea and coffee.

Why is this happening now and not the first 20+ years I was drinking Tea? It's like these stains came out of nowhere.

Thanks!

long term effects of drinking tea. I would try to cut down on tea or brush your teeth immediately after drinking tea. your teeth also wear down over the years and it becomes easier for stains to bing to your teeth and discolor them. brush your teeth after every drink.
