Yes, it's normal because many long distance relationships dont work out...maybe he doesn't trust you, although hopefully that isn't the case. But, what other reason would be for him to ask you to prove your love. Just don't do anything too crazy to prove it!

He probably feels insecure for one of two reasons:

1.) He cheated on you, so he feels like he has to prove his love, so he wants to see what you'll do in his position

2.) He got some sort of information from someone that you might have been unfaithful. A friend could've called him and told him that you were flirting with a guy.

There's really no way of knowing if it's 1.) or 2.), but I would say it's likely 2.). You should ask him about the reason that he wants you to prove it. Say that you thought that your love is proven every day because you think about him and love him so much. Say that you're wondering why he all of a sudden doubts it. And then to prove it, say "I love you. And if that's not enough for you, then you don't believe what I say, and I don't see what I could've done to deserve this."

He's playing some sort of twisted game, like all guys sometimes do. They usually do so to cover up some insecurity they have. The reasons 1) and 2) explain two different insecurities he might have. But to be sure, say what you feel about it.

Then again, if he said it in playful way, then don't take this as seriously as I just explained. Just use your charm sweetie!

Well Case I haven't any idea of what the hell this fella is talking about. I have been in a LTR for 3 years now and we are getting married in May. Never once have I requested this of my fiance, nor has she in return. Trust and communication are very important in any relationship but especially so in LTR's. Some people claim to be in LTR's and they have never even met, this is not a relationship but a wanna be relationship. If you have indeed met this fella and he is making requests like this you need to ask him why he would make such a request. Is he insecure or does he not trust your commitment to the relationship. In my opinion it sounds like the next time you two are together a good conversation is needed to reinforce with each your expectations and ;loyalty to this relationship Best of luck.

He sounds controlling. You shouldn't have to prove your love to someone. It is a feeling from your heart. If he is saying you have to prove to him, then maybe he has some insecurities about love, or doesn't know what it means. Unless he has a mind that involves S&M acts.

It's normal for any man to ask you to prove it. But say to him "if you love me and trust me, then why should i have to prove that i feel the same?" works every time.

No. Unless your guy is 12 years old. If you and he aren't already committed to each other and in a trusting relationship, "proving" yourself won't do anything but give him a way to control you and make you feel inferior or undeserving of him. If he's doing this, maybe you need to ask yourself if HE deserves YOU.

Somebody once asked: What is normal? Love does crazy things to people. But let me ask you this: is it normal you're talking about your relationship, online with possibily anyone in the world to see? If you do not think it is normal you have to make the final decision about what you're going to do.

No one should have to prove that they love someone. How you deal with it is ultimately up to you. I don't think it is a good sign, but it isn't necessarily a bad thing either. I would suggest that you ask him what it is he is trying to find out.
