I was up right and a few days later the other one came up. Now they have both dropped. Has something happened to them ? Or what can I do to help them?

First of all, congratulations, Aussies are wonderful dogs! My parents and I work with an aussie rescue service, and I own one so I've been around all kinds of aussies lately!

The breed standard is for their ears to be kind of "floppy". When they get older, their ears may be down sometimes, but will "prick" up when something gets their attention, or when they are concentrating. Do NOT do anything to help the ears stand up. It can be damaging and painful for the dog.

One more piece of advice, I don't know if you are a first time owner or not, but aussies are very "job-oriented". They are extremely clever and need something to occupy their time or they sometimes can start to find things that amuse them, but might not amuse you (furniture chewing, escaping from yard, ect.) Just a tip. When you're pup gets older you could look into agility or fly ball, aussies are great for these activities and it can be a fun thing to do with your dog!

Best of luck!

Nothing. They will do that for sometime until he is fully matured. We had a Toy Fox Terrier whos ears were supposed to stand straight up and they popped up and down for several months until he was full grown. I think it looks cute when one is sticking up and the other is down. Don't worry, they will straighten up.

Nothing, per breed standards they should be like that. Check out the A.K.C. website http://www.akc.org/breeds/australian_shepherd/index.cfm
If you are still concerned please take him/her to the vet. You should also try to find a book on the breed. You can find them at almost any pet store, or online. Good luck!

nothing, the breed standard calls for a floppy ear. his ears are supposed to be raised with the tips down. this is what he's supposed to be doing. let his ears be.

They should have a fold in them - Look at the breed standard on AKC: http://www.akc.org/breeds/australian_shepherd/index.cfm
