i have win xp SP2...now dont ask why but i need to install SP1, how can i do that without having to re install my whole windows.
i tried:
*downloading and installing the actual fike (126MB), didnt work because i had SP2
*installing it in safe mode...didnt work.
so what can i do?

There's one reason why I would think you want SP1 and not SP2... and that's because SP2 has its own firewall, which slows down your torrent downloading. Haha. Look on Microsoft's website for help on removing SP2.

Uninstall SP2. Reinstall SP1, reinstall SP2

i agree with substance, first uninstall sp2 then install sp1 ive had to do this to use my rescue disk after installing sp2 using automatic updates, dont remember how i did it but thats what you got to do. by the way why not just turn off the firewall?

I think that you dont need to install Sp1 to use SP2

i cant see why u would need sp1 ... sp2 has everything 1 does ...
