It's saying that while knowing facts is central to "knowledge and wisdom," without the very human, intangible qualities like emotions and senses, they can not truly be appreciated and understood. She's saying wisdom comes from both science and emotion.

It's a beautiful Quote.. and it means
consider a small kid to be a seed,
then emotions and impressions of the senses ( which in his early age will be given by his parents, friends, relatives htru day to experience with them) , these emotions are like the fertile soil which will later help the seed( child) to produce knowledge and wisdom and to learn from the facts which he gathered in his childhood.
