I weigh 112 and im 5'2. im trying to lose atleast 15 more pounds. so i limited my calorie intake to only 100.

If you go on such an extreme diet then your body kicks in and reacts as if to a famine situation..it slows down your metabolism and hangs on to every last ounce of weight for as long as it can..and if you stop dieting after doing this, you will gain weight like crazy because of your slow metabolism. This is not a simple maths problem, you would loose a few pounds quickly and then simply loose energy instead for a long time during which your thought processes would be affected because thinking takes calories believe it or not. You actually use around 1400 calories a day just living, so a diet of a thousand will certainly be low enough to be effective..and if you do more than walk about a little and breath you could even start your diet higher,say at 1400, and then lower it to 1200 in a couple of months and then to 1000 a couple of months after that...and no lower. With moderate exercise this diet should result in a steady and sustainable weight loss without damaging your health, it is not a quick fix but then, once things are right they will have a better chance of staying right than any extreme diet will provide.

I don't mean to sound like a nagging mum but that's definitely bad! Believe it or not you will lose more weight eating 1000 calories a day than 100 calories a day IF you eat a balanced diet and get plenty exercise. I am currently losing weight and I eat at least 2 proper meals every day. Exercise can be a lot more fun than you think. I walk my dog a couple of times every day. I also bought a book about morning workout routines. Just spending 10 minutes as soon as you get up can make a world of difference. Yoga is another quite fun exercise thing to do.

i really don't think you should limit your diet to such an extreme extent
this situation may become an absolute night mare
if you aren't getting enough nutrients you will start to loose hair, muscle mass, bone strength, and stamina, these are only some of the problems derived from not eating enough.

your BMI is 20.5 which is close to the UNDERWEIGHT side

Oh, thats not so bad IF you are a lizard or something of that nature. Get your head screwed on straight and understand that the human body is SUPPOSED to have a little meat on the bones. Good luck. Pops

If you are 5'2" you should weigh 110 lbs at the very LEAST - please do not try to lose any more weight. Do a google for bmi calculators to find out what the healthy weight range is for your height.

Sheesh got the nay sayers and flamethrowers goin there didnt you kiddo. according to the BMI index I checked you are at the normal healthy weight for your height. assuming your an adult. assuming your at least 16 years of age you still have a good healthy weight going for you.

So YAY!! =^_^= *huggles * congratz to you for being healthy. Now on to your question. No100 calories a day is not healthy at all for you. please please please please begin to eat at a normal pace.

the daily recommened caloric intake for a female age 30-50 is roughly 1800 calories per day. more calories if you are a young lady in your teen years, due to a teens increased metabloism.

the website i provided below has many good resources to help you. also I reccomend speaking with a nutrionist if you still feel worried about your weight. a nutrionist can reccomend a good healthy diet. of balanced foods.

this combined with normal play and exercise can give you confidence and self esteem. And that is the key. Be healthy and balanced.

Ps try this as well. join a martial arts school. find a good one. they specialize in discipline and self esteem. as well as being kick@ss excerise programs.

But above all dont listen to the naysayers and morons who posted before me. this country seems to have gotten obsessed with its image.

let me tell you something kiddo. im a physical education and kinesiology major. What that emans Is I know the difference between weight, and fat. if anyone is stupid enough to tell you your fat. then well their doing it to boost their own ego at the expense of yours. tell them too look in a mirror cause i bet they actually are.

you are not, I repeat YOU ARE NOT FAT. you have a normal healthy weight for your height and age. I really hope this helps you. if you still feel that you are too fat or weigh too much. then I beg you please pleasepleaseplease. to see a councelor. you may have some feelings of self esteem or issues to work out. a councelor can help you with this.
