I do not smoke. But, 2 weeks ago I was at a party and smelled other people smoking a couple feet away. Will this smell affect a drug test I'm taking today?

yes, you will be fine. it is possible to inhale smoke when you're only arond it, but if you don't smoke regularly it will leave your system fairly quickly. Therefore, the small amount you would've took in, combined with 2 weeks time passing, means you will definately have a clean drug test. And an extra note for the "probation officer", I'm sure you've heard of "hot boxing" a room, which means that you don't smoke it yourself but will still get high, and would therefore test positive. Therefore it is possible to test positive even though you didn't smoke it yourself. And it quite possible that people would get high with this method without even knowing it was happening.

You may have had trace amounts if it was excessive.
However people who do the testing realize that a certain amount of THC can get in your system without smoking. They usually overlook it if it's a tiny tiny amount

Inhaling the weed intentionally puts WAY more of the chemical in your system than if you get it second hand.

And also since it was two weeks ago, it might not show up at all anymore.

I seriously doubt it will affect your test. Think of the millions of pollutants we breathe in daily. If we can get by living and pass other test off that, I'm sure a little contact smoke will not make you fail your drug test. Good Luck! on the job

Passive inhalation . In general, routine passive exposure to marijuana smoke will not result in a positive result for carboxy-THC. Only under unrealistic conditions, a person may test positive for carboxy-THC, but concentrations are generally below the routine cut off levels.

The only way you will test positive for Marijuana is if you smoked it yourself. Just being around the smoke will not make you test positive.

it can affect u cuz inhaling the smoke is worse than smoking it. it is stuck on ur lungs depending on how much u inhaled second hand. just drink alot of water to flush out ur system

No it shouldn't. And if it does explain the reasoning - your probably not supposed to be around people who smoke pot though rightt???

you will pass your test. 2nd hand smoke can not intoxicate you.
