In Christianity, the term non-denominational refers to those churches which have not formally aligned themselves with an established denomination. Non-denominational churches establish their own internal means and methods of policy and worship without interference from the policies and worship practices of regional, national, or multinational organizations.
Members of non-denominational churches often consider themselves simply "Christians", and many feel at home when visiting any number of other denominational churches with compatible beliefs.
Outside of doctrinal areas, non-denominational churches are generally more accepting of people from various religious backgrounds and political views. Services are occasionally modeled after those of another denomination, but are also usually tailored to the preferences of the congregation, and can change drastically even from week to week.
(The above is from wikipedia. Below are my thoughts.)
In short, a non-denominational Christian church generally welcomes EVERYONE who simply believes in Christ, which is the broadest possible definition of being a Christian.
A lot of people feel more comfortable in this atmosphere, as it dispenses with most of the political BS of church sects that take a more narrow view of Christianity, and focuses on the ONE thing that it should be about... worshipping Christ in an environment of fellowship, and nothing more.

There are a lot of non-deoninational churches. Each of these churches will have a seperate set of beliefs.
When people label themselves a "non-denominational" church they are saying that they are not part of any headquarters of a denominational group.
I am a minister of a non-deminational church. You can IM me if you would like to know more. But every church could say something different for what they believe. The main focus is to be Bible Based and not tradition/man based. One of the first movements that did this was in the early 1800s known as the Restoration Movement.

you're properly suited on your person-friendly assumption. A non-demoninational church is one that may not affiliated with a miles better church physique -- it fairly is a stand-on my own congregation. in case you have been to bypass to a distinctive place, it is conceivable to discover yet another church that teaches like the previous one; besides the undeniable fact that it may be purely unintentional. the belief of being non-denominational precludes the opportunity of a much bigger umbrella employer which ensures doctinal uniformity. You ask if countless church homes coaching the comparable (or comparable) doctrines makes them a denomination. No -- not at all. You and that i could make comparable procuring alternatives, yet that would not advise one human beings is following the lead of the different. the belief of adjusting right into a denomination potential that human beings have desperate on a elementary code of coaching for separate congregations, and a single governing physique to supervise compliance with those teachings. as quickly as returned, it fairly is conceivable that many non-denomination church homes ought to probably be coaching the comparable element; besides the undeniable fact that it fairly is only twist of fate because of the fact none of those church homes acknowledges the authority of an exterior physique making a large-ordinate declare of obedience. Do any non-denominationals declare to be the "genuine" church? considering that there are endless non-denominationals obtainable, my wager could be that all of them do. in spite of everything, one is going one's very own way precisely because of the fact one has come to the top that all and sundry else is erroneous.

The non-denominational Church that I have gone to just teaches the Holy Bible. There are no man made doctrine or rituals involved. It follows the teachings of Jesus, which is what all Christian denominations should be doing. It is not in a fancy building. There are no statues or idols to worship. There is God's Word and songs of praise.
May God Bless you.

Hmmm. A little cynicism is still creeping through between the lines. No doubt these things go on in your congregation too? Seriously, I used to belong to a "non-denom." church for about 14 years, to keep a long story short --horrible things happened--I left. Not because I bear grudges for those there. I just left. I searched for another church--even w/ in the walls of a "denom." and found the same type of stuff. Hmmm. The similarities btw denom and non-denom. Anyhooo. I have left the "organized church" as it is.
Summary--Makes no difference denom or nondenom. Denomination is defined as division. Is that the scriptural picture of the Church? Where are the different denom. in the NT? Seems they met in houses as a community...all together in one mind and one accord.
Was I helpful?

A non-denominational church is an independent church that isn't bound to a pre-established set of doctrinal beliefs. This leaves the pastor free to interpret the Bible as led by the Holy Spirit.
Sometimes there's a fine line, though. Calvary Chapel considers itself non-denominational, but to be a Calvary affiliate, you have to parallel some of their "distinctives" such as pre-trib eschatology as well as a few others.
Unfortunately, most churches are still 501(c)(3). In short, a 501(c)(3) “church” cannot freely preach Christ, His Kingdom or His Truth. They must honor first and foremost the prince of this world, his kingdom and his lie. They have turned their swords into plowshares before the vicory is won, and being unarmed, are a liability to Christ’s purpose to assault the gates of hell (to which they have pledged allegiance!) I’ve heard it said that “healthy sheep reproduce”, but these have made themselves eunichs in Christ’s flock. Matt 22:14 says many are called, but few are chosen, but of these it can truly be said that many are cold, and a few are frozen.

There is no such thing as a non-denominational church. A church is defined by its beliefs. If the beliefs of a given church don't match those of any pre-existing denomination, then that church is, by definition, a new denomination. The only way a church could be "non-denominational" is to have no beliefs at all.
And if you don't think a non-denominational church has specific beliefs, try going into one and expressing a view that is contrary to what the preacher is preaching, and see how welcome you are.
