Do I have to pay extra or will a standrad 2nd class stamp do?

It depends these days on the size and weight, a second class will not be accepted, you're better off taking it to the PO, they will tell you what you need.

The Republic of Ireland is not part of the United Kingdom.
European Union Postal Rates apply. You definitely cannot use stamps marked "2nd class".

A standard second class stamp WILL do on an ordinary letter.

I would nt bother cos An Phost , just burn all the British stamped
envelopes anyhow, lol
