Even though non-Christians far outnumber Christians in this world? I was raised as a Christian and I am considering going back. I do have problems with this issue, though, and the hypocricy in the Church. Thanks!

I hear you. There is alot of discrepencies and theorys. Bottom line is we never know. You need faith. I say its better to have faith in Christ JUST IN CASE its all true. If its not, so what you are dead and nothing happens. But in my heart I believe. Some things are just too perfect for God to not exist.

I believe that the one and only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ.
It is in the written book.
"I am the way the truth and the life; NO MAN cometh unto the Father BUT BY ME." -- Jesus Christ (John 14:6)

What do you have to lose, better safe then sorry.

The definition of Christian is- Little Christ, which means if you are a christian you should conduct yourself as christ would.

Once you've asked Jesus to be ur savior and the holy spirit enters your body, you feel like a new person.
You'll never have to question your salvation about how when you die where you're going go, you'll be with your loved ones, therefor death isn't scary anymore.

That's whats is wrong with the world today. Look at all the corruption. There aren't enough Christians in this world. Parents aren't raising there kids anymore, there rasing themselves.

The scriptures are very clear that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, heaven, and life itself. (John 14:6) This is not something Christians made up. It is something Jesus Himself said throughout His ministry on earth. So Christians are right on that but sometimes they're wrong in how they treat those who don't believe Jesus is the way. We are called to love our neighbor, even the ones who don't believe in Jesus as THE Messiah, or are of a different religion. That is an area, we Christians fall short in sometimes.

Yes, there is hypocricy in the Church but I'd argue there's hypocricy in every place where humans meet. Hypocricy is part of human nature. Christians aren't perfect but they are being perfected as the book of Romans talks about.

Christianity is more about than just going to heaven though. It's really about knowing God personally through Jesus Christ. When you know Him personally, He makes sure you live forever with Him in heaven but He is actually your shepherd through this side of life. And honestly, I couldn't make it through without Him. He really does guide "His Sheep" and He really does give life to His own.

God Bless!!

The true heaven (i personally believe) is somthing that is beyond human comprehension just like the modern sceince of today was to people 1000 years ago. However this esecense after death is more complex to label it from a religion. I believe that all people and all life reach this state of mind and yes even the people who killed many will reach it. In some way or form. the simple answer... no even if u don't believe in any religion heaven is there. However going to heaven should not be a goal in life. Your goal in life, jsut like everyone elses is to make the physical world a better place to live.

If ever a Christian you would have believed yourself a sinner and God righteous. The atonement provided the only way for anyone as we are not righteous and God is. God could not merely agree with sin as his is righteous and remains righteous. Now does this mean all Christians go to heaven and no one else? No the atonement provided is for all who accept it and we are not the judge only God can righteously judge. Christ taught that those who knew the father also knew the son. It is not a cut and dried as some will try to make it and it is not for us to judge. The way is less traveled and the gate narrow Christ himself taught this. The fact is not all who call themselves Christians will be there but Christ did provide the way for all who do make it there.

I believe what the Word says,
John 14:6-7
6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
NIV

I hope that you resolve your problems, and return to your roots as a Christian. Look to the book of John, ask for wisdom from the Holy Spirit like it says in Eph. I believe you will find truth, and it will set you free.

be blessed in Jesus.~vicki

There are many path to God. You just need to find one that you can agree with. If you don't agree with a certain way than that is not the path for you. If you insist to stay in the path that you cannot agree, you will only create suffering for yourself. Find the one that fits your spiritual make-up.

Whether you are in a certain religious or spiritual path it does not matter. If you do some research in all the available religious and spiritual paths in the world today, you can see a common thread existing in them and that is light and sound the twin aspect of love. But who is able to see this? Even the great scholars who have done research or thesis have missed it.

But just why do so many paths to God exist? Because people exist at different levels of consciousness or level of acceptance. What one person or group can accept may not be acceptable by another. God provided all these different path so everyone can learn about God. Yet, people are not using this gift to the fullest and learning about God and how to communicate with Him. Instead people are engaged in arguments that their religion is better and so on and on. Why they do this? Because they themselves do not have truth with them.

You are much more greater than those who engage themselves in religious or spiritual arguments if you can find time to serve and give love to others who needs it such as those elderly or the disabled. If today you do a charity with love to someone who needs it, you are one step closer to God than those who are in religion. The entry to heaven is based on good deeds not your religious or spiritual background.

I suggest you focus on accepting life for what it is and continue to do good deeds instead of wondering which religion to follow. When the time is ripe, God will send the right person to lead you home. You will know this through personal experience but you must have enough of good deeds for that person to appear to you.

Most importantly, the service to serve life starts from loving one's self. Love yourself, your family, friends and than your neighbors and the animals and all the other things in life. A spiritual master once said, 'until one finds the way to love, to truly love, he will never understand the spirit of life'.

You have hit the nail on the head "hypocrisy"And one of those
teachings that is unscriptual is the teaching of an immortal soul
that goes to Heaven. The Bible clearly states that a certain number
(the annointed of Christ) will attain to heavenly life. The rest of
mankind have the prospect of a perfect life on earth in the
resurrection.(Rev.20:4,6)The annointed)Look at John.5:28,29--
concerning the earthly hope,also Rev.20:12,13, and Rom.6:7--
The truth is avaliable!you have to seek it.Try--www.watchtower.org I wish you the best......
Jesus Christ is the way......

Matthew 7:13: Go in through the narrow gate. The gate to destruction is wide, and the road that leads there is easy to follow. A lot of people go through that gate. 14But the gate to life is very narrow. The road that leads there is so hard to follow that only a few people find it

Regarding Those who believe: 7:21Not everyone who calls me their Lord will get into the kingdom of heaven. Only the ones who obey my Father in heaven will get in. 22On the day of judgment many will call me their Lord. They will say, "We preached in your name, and in your name we forced out demons and worked many miracles." 23But I will tell them, "I will have nothing to do with you! Get out of my sight, you evil people!"

Don't mix up the hypocrisy of people with God. Jesus will judge your heart, just like He will judge the heart of all.

No one on this earth is perfect and can be God for you. Careful of the measure you use to judge people. God says, the same measure will be used on you. I don't konw about you, but I need plenty of grace. I can do things with what I think is honorable attentions, and later find out I had selfish motives.

Yes. The Scripture plainly states, "I and my Father are one. No man cometh to the Father but BY ME." The ministry of Jesus Christ, which we as Christians are to adhere to in all aspects is the light on the path of salvation.
