That is not always a good sign, in some cases it might be signs of a brain tumour, so I would go to the doc as soon as possible. The nerves in your brain get infected and you start smelling phantom scents.

Because someone in the neighbourhood has a wood burning fireplace and your window is open letting the smell in. It happens to me all the time, I just end up closing the window or if really bad get an air purifier.

i love the ansers you got,they are very funny,but anyway i dont know were you are but i would get out of there,as it sounds like you have fire under the groundi foreget whet the tethnical terms for this,if you walk on the ground near were you smell smoke you could fall straight through some times deep down,also the ground may feel warm or even hot.

Sounds to me that you have a spirit around you and their either tyring to tell you something or they used to work with burning wood or that's how they died??

Or it could be that you just have a very sensitive nose

that is cause, hydrogen in u r surroundings must be polluted with sulphatic some plus acid rain. formation.and zinc + hydrochloric zcid = burning wood.

Sounds like a zinc deficiency. I had this when I was in college. Get a zinc supplement from the healthfood store and take it for a couple of weeks, it should help.
