Well... scared HALF to death.

Yes. That is why most were not present at the crucifixion, why Peter denied he knew Jesus, and they were hiding behind a locked door when the resurrection happned. Their fear and hiding is probably the greatest proof there is that the resurrection of Jesus happened. SOmething happened that changed them from frightened cowards into courage preachers willing to give their lives for their faith. That could only have been the resurrection.

Yes, they were, and I think Peter was one of them who denied knowing Jesus when people started pointing the finger at him, that he knew Jesus and he was one of His apostles. Jesus predicted that he will denie Him three times before the chicken crock.
But, after they saw that he predic t it came to be, they believed and went all over the world and preached, and I believe all of them suffered a horrible death. That is how much faith they had in Him.

I know you don't believe in Jesus Christ, His teaching and the Apostles, and yet you keep asking questions about Him.

Add,
Thanks Mike. I stand corrected only one of the Apsotles died by natural causes. We learn something new everyday.
Thank you Mike for the correction.

i would suppose they were scared. at least one of them even denyed that he knew christ. aftward he repented.

only one of the 12 deciples died of a natural cause.

after the rapture they all will be raised from the dead to be eternally with the lord.

humans are not currently in heaven (there may be exceptions, enuc for one, i proally spelled it wrong). during the rapture "those who are dead in christ will be raised an us who are alive and remail will be caught up in the clouds to meet christ". if people go to heaven when they die, then there would be no possiblility of a rapture. you cannot raise soeone fromthe dead if they are already alive.

so, you either have a rapture and everyone goes to heaven then, or, you go to heaven when you die.

you caint do both, and the bible talks about the rapture, it does not talk about going to heaven before the rapture.

Sure...why do you think Peter denied the Lord three times? But after they saw the RISEN Saviour, they were willing to lay down their lives for Him, and according to history, that's exactly what happened to most of them!

Obviously Jesus is in the LIFE TRANSFORMING business!!

Absolutely. That's why Peter denied Jesus.

It was actually when Jesus died that they finally understood all that had happened. Their faith, and conviction became even stronger... and they were not afraid of death...because they knew through Jesus it had been overcome.

yes, they were but they had every right to be. Look what they did to Jesus. The Romans were not nice people.
But, later they were very brave and got beaten with whips.
Wern't they all brutally murdered.

Yes, and many of them did die because of their involvement in the early Jesus movement.
