most people would tell you to keep them apart for five days, after that you can put them together just make sure they don't play too rough or the stitches would get ripped open.

Just 48-72 hours is really needed. This isn't for any specific medical reasons, but just to allow the spayed cat some time to adjust and loss the "vet smell" that the other cats would most likely pick-up on.
Hope she's back to herself in no time at all! --Andy

It's not unusual for the cat who just came home from the vet to set of stranger alerts in other household cats. Especially when there are only a couple of cats in the house that haven't had a lot of cat to cat introductions in their lifetimes.

If you notice some hissing going on between cats, this is normal. The first kitty is just being extra cautious right now. "Hmmm, you're starting to smell the same, but I'm still not ready to trust that you're the same cat yet....hmmmph."

It should pass in a couple of days.

I had two kittens spayed last week and when I brought them home they were fine to be with the other cats in the house.

I really don't think you need to separate them, if there is no problem with them bothering her. However if they won't let her rest etc. I would play it by ear, and introduce them gradually in a few days or so when her stitches come out.

Probably until 2 days after the surgery. Longer is not necessary in most cases.
