As of now, I do not believe in God. However, I flip-flop on this freqently and may change my mind again. But right now, the only way I'm gonna believe in God is if this parking lot turns into a lake, God suddenly appears, walks across it and then invites me to go have a beer. How does everyone else feel?

The concept of "god" exists but a deity doesn't exist in reality

Hey, God is more real than anything else I know, he already walked on water once, don't think he has to do that one again.

Listen we could debate back and forth on what reality is and you could offer science and theories and I could offer wisdom and knowledge. I will not believe that everything was created by accident and you will not believe that you are going to die and go to hell.

I have seen Jesus (when I was a child), I know he is real and he spoke to me. I am no one special, I have done nothing special, I just needed him and he came to me. That may never happen to you, and it may never happen to me again before I am in heaven with him.

I believe you know the truth, I believe you are making a choice to denie God. Hey, Jesus died so that you could have that choice. Without his sacrifice none of us have any choice. I would never say you can't make that choice, but would pray that you not make it.

Your choice.

Well,if it takes a physical miracle of that sort for you to believe in the creator, then, perhaps you were born in the wrong time and space. You cannot even imagine the creator, simply because he created everything and your mind cannot think outside of the creation, therefore, you can,t imagine the creator, because he exist outside of what he created. The creator does give us things that we can identify him with,(him not meaning male or female). You are an intelligent person, don,t ruin or minimize it by insisting on a physical relationship with the creator.Do your independent research and discover the wonderful attributes that are associated with the creator, then and only then will you get to know the creator, religion requires study, thought, and prayer for understanding the knowledge which will be opened up to you.peace, and remember this, you are responsible for your own religion, regardless of the similarity of the way you worship.

No, God is not real. He is no different than Zeus, Isis, Odin, Krishna, Loki, Diana, or any of the other thousands of gods and goddesses that humans have invented and worshiped throughout history. Of course, those other (earlier) gods did not drown and slaughter millions, repeatedly command their followers to kidnap, enslave, torture, rape, abort, and kill people, and have their own kid beaten and killed to appease themselves, like the God of the Bible did. What kind of person would worship the Biblical God, when his actions make Hitler look like an Eagle Scout?

Early humans invented God/gods/goddesses as a way to explain things they didn't understand, and to try to control other people. Many (like those who invented Jesus) stole the details from the stories of earlier gods (such as Mithras). A very basic study of mythology/religion and the history of the Bible makes it very clear that the Bible and God are fictional, just like Peter Pan and Captain Hook, or The Cat in the Hat.

My background is science, so I approach it this way:

Science can take us back to the Big Bang or whatever physical beginning there was, but it cannot explain *how* that moment was created. Why should there not just be nothing? No universe, no anything?

In essence, the fact that the universe even exists is unexplainable by science.

Thus, I believe in God. He is very real to me.

I think that the reason you flip-flop so frequently, is because in your heart, you know that God is real. I believe that Heaven is a real place. I also believe that Hell is a very real place. Think of it like this...the only way that you can get to Heaven, is by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! The alternative is, that if you don't accept him, eventually you will end up burning in Hell forever. I don't know about you, but if I were in your situation, I wouldn't want to take any chances!

Who created science, the earth, outer space, and living breathing plants, animals, and humans?
Someone or Something had to do it. In the beginning there had to be creation.
There is too many prophecies in the Bible that have came true for God not to be real. I suggest you read about Jesus in the New Testament. Two things are for sure in this life we have. We are borned. Then sooner or later we die. For one I don't believe it all ends in a slow ride in a hearse. And Jesus is the only way to eternity.

I used to believe so.But the more educated you become questions arise.I did not pick religion my parents did it for me. Now that I am an adult I choose my own belief system. Check out this book it may help you decide. The God Delusion By Richard Dawkins. The author would rate you as a Level 6 Agnostic.

God doesn't do those thing.... he doesn't turn parking lot into a lake. He only use wind to divide the red sea, make the water
flow from rocks, make people sick, heal people, causes
weather change, and other simple nature tricks.
Jesus probably walks on water because it could be icy.

Jesus didn't fly around like Superman do or disappear
like a witch do.

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Your point:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's point:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?
