Depends on the wood. Assuming it's built of wood. It might be built of that new material they're using on porches and decks these days - some sort of plastic. They're great because you don't have to keep restaining them.

Personally I would go with pine. It does have a pretty grain and can look quite beautiful when stained. True, it's on the softer side, but I doubt that matters.

LOL - I got it - I just happen to hate that song. It's too friggin' long, just like anything by Peter Frampton. I just went with what popped into my head, which happened to be wood. Hmm....wonder what that means.....
