Red rice is a main staple in India but considered a noxious weed in the U. S.
Black rice is actually purple when cooked.

Not all Chinese people use rice as part of their everyday meal. People from the north region of China eat mostly noodles.

The most popular rice in Chinese is Jasmine rice or what they call "white rice".

Not only the Chinese but a great maority of people in Asia eat rice. Funy thing is, a lot of westerners like americans and europeans line up at asian restaurants and eat a lot of rice as well.

I don't have any interesting facts about it other than I love to eat WHITE, PROCESSED RICE (for all you freakin' carb haters out there) with loads of butter, vinegar and salt. Mmmmmm. Forget the brown or wild rice--gimme the white stuff!

Wild rice isn't even part of the rice family; it is the seed from an aquatic grass. Yummy though :D
