well, i learned in one of my rock n roll history classes, that musical theory pinpointed dance tunes. songs that make you dance always hit on the 2nd and 4th beat. from rock, rap, to disco, drum n bass, to merengue, motown, any song that makes you shake your booty will have more emphasis on the 2nd n 4th beat. try it out next time, it's wild.
