I have serious "poo" issues...I can often not go for a week...sometimes two, and I'm trying to find a way to sort myself out so I go everyday like a "normal" person!

I actually can't see what my problem is, I can only estimate. I drink 1.5litres of water a day, also fresh orange juice, I eat fruit & veg, fibre, only wholemeal breads and wholegrain cereals...I can't really see a problem with my diet. BUT, I don't tend to eat regularly throughout the day, I often skip meals, and then grab something quick as a "snack"...but they are still healthy snacks. I watch that "you are what you eat" and those people who don't poo eat terribly, and I'm nothing like that...could it be a medical condition??

Anyway, are there any tried and tested methods of speeding things up down there. I think that's alot of the reason that I struggle to lose weight (only 1.5st overweight) because there's so much excess waste inside me! I'm happy to try natural or unnatural (ie medication) methods.

Exercise and laxative might help your problem.

"Digesting" and "metabolising" are completely different functions dear!!

Metabolising is the chemical processes occurring within a living cell or organism that are necessary for the maintenance of life. In metabolism some substances are broken down to yield energy for vital processes while other substances, necessary for life, are synthesized.

Digestion is the process by which food is converted into substances that can be absorbed and assimilated by the body, with the rest being subsequently expelled.

Your problem is with digestion. If fact you are constipated.

There are many causes of constipation. Some causes have to do with what we eat and drink and others with how well the muscles of the gut are working.

Not getting enough fibre or bulk in your diet.
Not drinking enough fluids or getting dehydrated.
Not exercising enough.
Not eating enough.
Being sick.
Certain medicines such as painkillers with codeine in them.
Not going to the toilet when you need to.

You need to work out what might have caused your constipation.
You might need to increase the fibre in your diet. Fruit and vegetables, cereals and bread are all good sources of fibre. Increased exercise often helps too.

Drink more water. Getting even a little bit dehydrated through forgetting to have drinks can cause constipation for some people.

Taking medicines such as laxatives is usually not a good idea. They may be fine just once or twice, but using them all of the time does not get to the cause of the problem, and sometimes they can change the way muscles in the bowel work, so that there is more trouble with constipation when you stop using them. There are different types of laxatives. If you do choose to use them, try ones that increase fibre in the gut.

It sounds like you need to go see a doctor. I do not see anything wrong with the way you are eating. Umm... have you tried
Exlax or anything like that? I know that isn't great for you but it offers a little bit of relief. Or prune juice is a more natural way that seems to always work. Lots of mixed greens. Good luck with that.

you should be consuming 30 grams of soluble fiber daily.

eating at least 4-5 small meals a day will definetly help to increase the resting metabolic rate along with exercising 4x a week for at least 45 minutes a day.

if your daily caloric intake is 1800 cals a day and you are consuming 4-5 meals then each "meal" should be between 360-450 calories...

Green tea, the real thing, I drink the gunpowder one. It's the dark green Chinese tea box.
It helps to burn fat and starts your metabolism.
Besides that, NEVER SKIP BREAKFAST!!!!!!!
That was my solution. my dietrist told me that starting eating your breakfast within an hour after getting up will get your intestines in actions. If you don't do so they'll get lazy and well you're experiencing what that results into.

Maybe you eat healthy food but just not enough. Are you eating the amount of calories someone of your size should?
