I lost about 10 pounds in a month by eating a meal once a day and snacking on low calorie foods every few hours. The important thing is to eat every three hours or so to ward off cravings and to not feel hungry. There are great snack options now such as the slimfast products, the hundred calorie packs, 3 musketeer bars are pretty good too. Each night I would make a snack pack for myself by putting one banana, one bag of 100 calorie doritos, one granola bar, and one applesauce (you can use any combination of snacks that you'd like) into a freezer bag and then writing on the outseid how many calories were in the entire bag. That way I could know exactly what I was eating and not have to think about it when I was in a rush. I just grabbed the bag and snacked throughout the day. I'd usually have a modest lunch also. And websites like www.thedailyplate.com are very helpful. Oh, and if you're anything like me, you don't want to hear the word exercise but it's a must! But the good thing is you can do cool things like take up thai chi or ju jitzu. Also try fencing or step classes. Hang in there, good luck!

You don't HAVE to do anything. But if you want to...Try this...And anyone feel free to correct me or add. Thanks.

The best way to lose weight is to burn more calories than consume. It is impossible to figure out how many you burn daily, but you should burn as many as possible. I would suggest doing cardio (StairMaster, elliptical, treadmill) about 4 times a week for about an hour. Try to do it during the day when you have the time. People always get fooled by listening to people saying "you should work out in the morning because it is the best for you." Well whatever time of day you can do cardio for about an hour, go then.

Also, try and add workout days. 2-3. Just some small lifting with high reps and low weight. Like 20 reps of something with light weight to build muscle. Muscle is what cuts down fat as you sleep.

And drink plenty of water. NO POP!! And try and keep your calories down. There are calorie calculators online and see how many calories a day you average. When you find that out, try and get about 300-500 under that. If you are eating more than 3300 a day, you can aim for 1000 under than. I hope that can help you.

2 things I've found seem to really work for me. First, eat more meals a day (like 5 or 6 meals), with just smaller portions. The second sounds odd: keep around smells that are appetizing to you. It seems to put your digestive system into action without eating.

Use both in combination. They both work on the concept of keeping your metabolism high.

Running. I lost 25lbs in three months doing this. You don't have to be in great shape at all to start. Just keep a log, start by walking for one mile. Write down how long it took you. Try each day to beat that time. Then go to two miles. Again, try to beat your time each day. Then start at a slow jog and before you know it you will be running. I started from no exercise and found myself running three miles every morning by the time I got to my third month. Good luck to you.

-Drink lots of water (8 glasses a day)
-Avoid juice or soda (lots of sugar) and alcohol (calories!)
-Do 30-60 minutes of cardio 4-5 times a week
-Start strength training 3 times a week (muscle burns 50 times more calories at rest than fat does - which means stronger muscles will actually burn more while you're doing nothing!)
