I don't think so because it's happening

Global Warming is not a lie and it's not a fact. Global warming is a theory, that is being used to explain a general warming trend in the global climate.

There are two views on this theory the first states that it is a complex interaction of greenhouse gases collecting the the atmosphere causing a general warming that is not indicative of natural phenomenon. The second school of thought is the Earth is undergoing a natural process of heating and cooling that has been happening since the creation of the Earth.

Since nobody alive today has been on Earth long enough to gather first hand data on the last Ice age, and even older global temperature fluctuations, nobody can say for certain which school of though is more correct than another. Both could be correct to varying degrees.

Global warming' environmental issues, ozone layer, ice caps melting. ????
I was watching a program from the discovery channel the other night about some group looking for proof of how the Noah's ark idea originated! I don't remember many of the details or the names of the places, but I do remember that the theory was that the sea levels had risen, (we are talking hundreds of years ago)!
Now to my mind there were not a lot of motor cars around at that time, and very few planes, or Noah wouldn't have had to build his ark would he? So whatever happened then was certainly not down to any ozone layer was it?
And if there was a government left after the flood I'm pretty sure that the first thing that came into their minds was lets find a way to put a tax on this situation!
Now I'm certainly no genius on the subject, but it is a well known fact that climate change has been ongoing for thousands upon thousands of years . How long have we been measuring the earths temperature?
Not very long I'm also sure about that! My feeling is that this is just yet another con job to get more taxes from us.
I posted a question recently asking :-
The UK govt has announced that all flights (from Feb 3rd 2007) will have a tax imposed of £5 per flight, to combat this weather thing. where is that money going???
No one was interested, its now just accepted.
So my answer is yes its all a lie, and yes it is happening but has all happened before, its not a new thing, it will all happen again, but not because we are flying about the planet or driving big cars, and the Govt' make make a few mllion out of it and people can be brain washed into believing the cause, we are easily led.

Actually the temperature of the earth has increased less than 7/10 of 1 degree (C) from 1880 to 2005. That is an increase of about 1 degree (F) in 125 years. You may choose to believe that is global warming or you may not. Source: http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/2005/2005cal_fig1.gif There are numerous charts all over the internet showing the same. Some say that 1 degree is enough to impact the global climate, others say it's not. Most proponents of global warming think the earth's temperature has risen much more than that and don't even know that it has only risen by 1 degree. But the charts do not lie as do the proponents on both sides of this issue. The average temperature in the Antarctica is 109 degrees below zero. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antarctica#Climate It seems to me 108 below (one degree warmer) is still pretty cold and not enough to melt anything. But there are those that say it will.

Back in the '70s all the hype was about global COOLING and another ice age was coming. I remember that they blamed pollution for that too. They said that all the pollution was darkening the skies and not as much sun was coming through so the earth was cooling off. It took many years to discover that they were mistaken and it was all just hype. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_cooling So when someone says, "the sky is falling" don't believe everything you hear on either side of the issue. There are Spin Doctors galore out there.

Most of the time people will form an opinion and not really be informed about the subject with which they become so opinionated about. So it's best that you not form your opinions from other's opinions, (as in this forum) but on the facts presented. (Many do not provide any proof or links to prove their point, just their opinion.) With that said we do have a responsibility to do our part by doing whatever is within your power to keep our planet alive and well.

I hope that helps...

No. Global warming is most certainly not a lie. Every single major research institute involved with climate research agrees that global temperatures are increasing, and this increase is due to anthropogenic forcing.

No, it's not a lie, and we should be worried about it, because even though the earth warms and cools in cycles, it has been much warmer in recent years than ever before. Ice caps and glaciers are melting, which is causing the water levels to rise and the ocean temperatures to increase. This leads to all kinds of natural disasters. This is why there have been more hurricanes and other storms in recent years than ever before. If water levels continue to rise, parts of continents where people now live, including most of Florida, will be under water.

It's a little bit hard to believe what with the horrendously cold weather being experienced in sevearal parts of the USA and other parts of the world.

Scientists (most of them anyhow) believe the Earth goes through cycles of warming and cooling over thousands of years. There has been more than one ice age. In any event, humans cannot do anything about it as any such trends one way or the other are due to natural forces, not due to anything man does.

i imagine in international warming. i'm no longer a scare monger, yet am an environmentalist. no matter if you've faith it international warming or no longer, it truly is a debate that could want to have information both helping it and disproving it. This concern is complicated and on a international scale that could want to have information that could want to take a protracted time or perchance centuries to seem. to declare it would want to be a lie in protecting with some isolated criteria is opposite to clinical attitude. somewhat taking inventory a mess of informational elements both for and adverse to international warming to make certain which conclusions are smart or no longer is how I attitude the debate. I also am unconcerned with the political nature of the debate. that is beside the point what Gore, Clinton, or Bush say or do. no matter if Gore created the internet or no longer is beside the point to international warming. an staggering type of why i imagine international warming is occurring has to do with the impacts mankind as an total has carried out contained interior the international from the in basic terms right ice age. in basic terms about all human activities from the commercial Revolution to fashionable circumstances, calls for power. it truly is electric powered, mechanical, chemical, or regardless of. those power elements (be it by technique of creating use of combustion, reaction, or refinement) emit gases. Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions jointly with carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxides were increasing on a international scale (perchance exponentially, using human inhabitants strengthen). international GHG sinks have also been reducing. i might want to no longer say no matter if or no longer a 33% strengthen in atmospheric CO2 concentrations might want to reason a shift contained interior the CO2 cycle and hence a floor temp strengthen by technique of creating use of the years. i'll claim the the increasing human interest is impacting the ambience. the U. S. EPA and Intergovernmental Panel on climate change (IPCC) both have proper ideas on the concern count number quantity. even as those agencies might want to have an interest in promotion hype for international warming, they seem to be some distance more effective respected than the persons to this communicate board (myself shelter). stick with the debate reachable and grace your beliefs on respected informational elements.
