My version of Excel doesn't show the gridlines in the spreadsheet. I've tried this sequence: Tools>Options>View>Show Gridlines and then set the color, but I still get no gridlines.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks!

I have Excel 2003. The gridlines are toggled through the Page Setup/Sheet tab.

Also, if you do not want the whole spreadsheet to have gridlines, I often highlight the intended area and use the "All Borders" option.

Hope this helps!

To me, printing ALL gridlines is regularly grotesque and makes the information much less readable. i think of the greater useful answer is to spotlight all cells you opt to have borders (gridlines) around and format > Cells and choose the Borders tab. choose the dimensions and shade of the border. I regularly use a mild gray, which nonetheless prints yet is muted and not so 'formidable' on the broadcast reproduction. next, make your border alternatives in the 'occasion' cellular. click 'ok'. Now whilst printed, the checklist would be plenty greater expert looking and greater handy to check.

on the toolbar, go to the row where cut, copy, paste is and go to the very end of the row. there is a down facing arrow. if you put your cursor over it a box will come up that says "toolbar options". click on this arrow. move down to "add or remove options" and then move to "formatting" and all the different options for what will always show on the screen is listed. just click on the borders one. now go to your document. click and drag over the area you want the grid lines to show and then click on the arrow besides the borders box and choose which outline works best for you. hope that helps...
