you should probably confront her about this so she knows that you're making an effort. start with something like, "Mom, I know we've had disputes in the past but I really care about you and I'd like to try to put those behind us." and see what she says. that will mean more to her than buying her something. maybe just try to spend more time with her doing the things that you both like to do together. then use mothers day as a good time to have a spa day together or something.

Send her flowers with a note inviting her to lunch or supper. Unless there are issues in the way, I wouldn't say anything but do alot of things differently. Call her more, confide in her more, ask her opinions, etc. Actions speak louder than words and if you are sincere in wanting to get along, just be more openminded to her and show her your love. It should speak for itself and things will fall in place as they should.

Bring her flowers, with a little note to tell her how you feel. I know how you feel, I have been there myself. I am so happy I made the move myself. She is my very best friend now, and I can't stand the thought of her ever going away! Good luck to you, and God Bless the both of you!! PS My mom believes people should always bring flowers to somone when their alive, because when their dead, they won't know it!

Believe it or not, take her to go play bingo. It's something you can do together and there's a possibility you or she could win a chunk of money. I did that for my mother and she won a door prize and $210 on top of that. We had a great time and it really brought us a lot closer together.

sometimes the best thing you can do is write her a letter stating how you feel about her. to let her know that you love and respect her and appreciate everything she does for you is the best gift a mother can receive and this way she can cherish it always.

Talk to her, you don't need to do anything but talk and tell her you love her.
