I just had my kittens fixed about a week ago, is it too soon to bathe them yet?

I have owned cats all my life, and I bathe them to keep them smelling, NOT like their litter box. Thanks, but I can handle taking care of my kittens AND my dog.

This warning comes standard on any post-op care after sterilization.
"Do not allow your pet to get wet or have a bath for at least 7 days after surgery."

I would recommend waiting a little longer. I think it is a little too soon. I am sure your vet would give you advice if you weren't sure and HAD to bathe them (there may be a way to do it without hurting the cat's incision). Hope all goes well,

Most people do not bathe their kitties. They do a great job of cleaning themselves. If you feel the need to give them a hand - use a wet washcloth, but do not put them into a tub of water.
Going against their nature ( a cat dose NOT like to get wet) and forcing them to a bath is cruel treatment. Maybe you should get a dog instead.

I would wait a while if you feel the need to bathe them. You can buy wipes for that purpose, or use a warm damp towel to go over them ,at least for now.

Cat's dont need to be bathed usually..unless they got into something gross. If your cats smell like the litter box then keep your litter box cleaner.

it's too soon. you have to wait until their stitches are removed or dissolved before bathing them. call the vet who did the surgery to find out for sure.

as long as the surgery sight is healed and the sutures are out then it is fine to give it a bath

Yes, it is. Why bath them anyways? Cat should only be bathed if they are really nasty...it's bad for their skin. Since they're kittens, though, they just might be!!!

Call the vet. But I would wait until they are completely healed.

Probably you should let them take their own baths... the fur will stick to your tongue.
