I've just joined, and I understand the plans etc, but I'm confused about how it actually works. I'd be doing green only days as I'm a vegetarian, but I can't see how pigging out on pasta an spuds all day is going to help, seeing as that would be eating more than I'm used to, and I've maintained the same weight without trying for a year now. Isn't it logical that if you eat more, you'll put on more? I'm not actually going to go in for the whole grazing on pasta and spuds all day, cos I'm not greedy...but I wanted a diet where I wasn't hungry, and I could eat big portions if I fancied it. It sounds good, but I've only got 1.5stone to lose, and I truly don't want to ruin it by stuffing my face and ending up gaining more!

Does it work, and how? Cos as I say, if you're eating more, surely you're gaining more? My problem is I eat small portions of maybe one or two meals a day, and then spend the rest of the time snacking...so I wanted something that "trained" me to eat properly.

You can eat as much as you want of your 'free' foods. Muller light yoghurts are free. I ate loads of those

Hun, its a load of rubbish that earns Caryl Richards a six-figure income!!

Slimming World is a British company which runs over 5,000 weight loss classes a week across the UK. Adults who are seven or more pounds overweight may join a local Slimming World class and pay a weekly fee to attend classes. In 2005 the cost on joining was £10 and the weekly charge £4.25. Do the maths!!!!

Don't make your life a misery with "points" etc. You'realready a veggie, so you're diet can't be that bad. I guess you're simply not active enough.

Find an exercise you enjoy! Best fat burner is running. 100 calories per mile. Do three 3-mile runs a week and you've generated a calorie deficit of 900 cals a week = approx 2 pounds in fat burned.

Get active. Its easier, more fun, get you healthy and you're more likely to see results with it.

I'm a vegetarian as well and I found this diet worked really well for me. Its a really low fat diet i.e. no butter or oil without counting them as your sins. If you stick to your correct amount of sins you will probably find that you eat much less snacky food than you normally do. I just snacked on loads of Muller Light yoghuts and fruit. Remember, just beacuse they say you can eat as much as you want doesn't mean that you have to stuff your face but theres nothing to stop you eating more than 3 meals in a day. The green recipe book is worth buying for loads of vegetarian recipes and they have recipes on their website too. Good luck!

It really, really works. Do exactly what the plan says and you will definitely lose weight. I, like you, was very doubtful, but I had nothing to lose but weight, and I did. I lost 3 stone in 5 months and was truly thankful. Good luck but you won't need it
