Go get some cat milk. Feed Mango the milk pre heated, keep her indoors. If her symptoms are still around a week later, you should seek counsel from a vet.

I thought my two cats were getting a cold too... they sneezed wet clear stuff once or twice and I gave them vit. C right away. I crushed 1/2 of a 500mg human grade vit C tab and mixed that with their favorite wet food. Then I kept them inside the house where its nice and warm (they are accustomed to go walkies outside on halter and leash for 15min each night and in the outddor enclosure for another 15min). They are OK now and the sniffles seem to have abated or totally gone - no more sneezing at least. That was two weeks ago. I swear by vit. C - always give some to my cats when I feel they are lethragic or feeling not totally "with it."

Yikes. If you wait a week to see how it goes, your cat (who depends on you, just like a child) could be dead. Remember, cats do not show physical discomfort as obviously as dogs do, so if your cat seems uncomfortable, it's probably miserable. Having a pet is a serious responsibility, and your kitty is counting on you to take care of it. This could very easily be a serious respiratory infection, or even something worse, that requires antibiotics to get cleared up. Please go to the vet right away.

Hi there agin Carrey...when cats have a cold it's generally a result of an upper respiratory infection (URI), which needs to be evaluated by a veterinarian and respectively treated with antibiotics for secondary infections which the URI can cause. Please consider having Mango evaluated for URI to be treated. It isn't very expensive and this can save her life.

You can't. URI can turn serious. Without proper meds you might end up dealing with a life or death situation.

Don't worry about the cost. If it's URI (upper respiratory infection) your vet will give you Amoxi or Clavamox which is pretty inexpensive. If you let it go and it gets serious, you're in for a HUGE vet bill to save your cat's life

Call the vet and ask. It costs nothing. Aside from that, if it is just a cold then it is just like when you get a cold. There is really nothing to do but wait it out. You can take cold meds but really they just cover up the symptoms they don't make the cold go away.
